Mini Differential IR height sensing board for 3D printers designed by David Crocker. The IR height sensor detects the target height by looking for the reflected light from two separate LEDs to be equal. The two LEDs are positioned such that they reflect light into the sensor at slightly different heights. This allows the sensor to be used most any bed surfaces. The IR height sensor works on most 3D printer beds except mirror glass, you may have to put a black mark below glass as the reading will be affected if there is a very strong reflection. Please note this is a kit and will require some soldering of the header connectors depending whether you require vertical or horizontal.
